Fourteenth Five-Year Plan – 2024–2025

Pampady Grama Panchayat

The expenditure details of the projects implemented through various Implementing Officers under the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan of Pampady Grama Panchayat for 2024–2025 can be summarised as follows:

1. Agricultural Officer

Various projects were implemented for the functioning of the Krishi Bhavan and agricultural development.

  • Krishi Bhavan Office Expenses: ₹70,000 was allocated towards electricity charges, and ₹50,143 was utilised for other expenses.
  • Coconut Development: ₹2,08,861 was allocated for coconut development activities.
  • Tuber Crop Kit Distribution: ₹1,91,050 was allocated for this project.
  • Other Agricultural Projects: These included paddy distribution (₹2,10,000) and activities related to health clinics (₹82,000).

2. Veterinary Surgeon

The following major projects were implemented in the animal husbandry sector:

  • Backyard Poultry Farming: ₹4,69,950 was allocated for the project.
  • Distribution of Mineral Mixture: ₹4,62,150 was utilised for this purpose.
  • Veterinary Hospital Requirements: ₹4,00,000 was allocated for the purchase of medicines and ₹1,00,000 for contingency services.

3. Medical Officers – Health Sector

Extensive health-related activities were carried out under the Allopathy, Homoeopathy and Ayurveda sectors.

PHC/CHC:

  • Treatment assistance for poor dialysis patients – ₹50,000
  • Palliative care – ₹10,20,000
  • Purchase of medicines – ₹2,94,847
  • Wellness activities using the Health Grant – ₹4,43,000

Homoeopathy:
₹2,00,000 was allocated for the purchase of medicines and other related activities of the Homoeopathic Dispensary.

Ayurveda:
₹8,00,000 was utilised for the purchase of medicines for the Government Ayurvedic Dispensary, and ₹3,00,000 was utilised for the elderly healthcare programme.

4. Village Extension Officer (VEO) / Fisheries

Housing Construction and Improvement:
Various projects were implemented through the VEO, including study-room construction for SC students (₹3,40,000), Life Mission housing projects, and house-improvement projects for General and SC beneficiaries involving substantial allocations.

Waste Management:

  • Distribution of source-level waste-management facilities and G-Bins – ₹5,28,000
  • Removal of waste from the Material Collection Facility (MCF) – ₹4,39,360

Fisheries:
An amount of ₹1,60,000 was allocated for the “Muttathoru Meenthottam” (Fish Pond in Every Courtyard) project.

5. ICDS Supervisor

Several welfare projects were implemented for women, children and senior citizens.

Anganwadi Development:

  • Infrastructure development of Anganwadis – ₹35,00,000
  • Remuneration of Anganwadi staff – ₹16,64,400
  • Renovation of Anganwadi toilets
  • Purchase of growth-monitoring equipment

Welfare Programmes:

  • Scholarship for persons with disabilities – ₹20,00,000
  • Fitness centre for women above 40 years – ₹7,83,320
  • Micro-plan projects for alleviating extreme poverty – ₹82,84,270

6. Assistant Engineer (LSGD) – Public Works / Infrastructure

Substantial amounts were spent on road construction, re-concreting, drinking-water projects and street-light maintenance in various wards of the Panchayat.

Road Development:
Large amounts were utilised for the renovation and concreting of several rural roads, including:

  • Arapparampilpady–Thuruthel Road
  • Kuttikkal–Kunnu Vetti Road
  • Mathruthatti CSI Church Road
  • Kanjirakkad–Kilimal Road
  • Various other rural roads.

Drinking Water Infrastructure:
Funds were allocated for water treatment plants at the Public Market (₹50,00,000) and RIT (₹1,13,40,000).

Street Lighting:
Funds were allocated for the installation and maintenance of High Mast, Mini Mast and Solar Street Lights in various wards.

Conclusion

During 2024–2025, Pampady Grama Panchayat implemented projects with a strong focus on improving the quality of life of ordinary citizens. Priority was given to the agriculture and animal husbandry sectors, along with healthcare, housing, waste management, and large-scale road and drinking-water infrastructure development. The projects demonstrate the Panchayat's emphasis on both livelihood improvement and the strengthening of essential public infrastructure.
