1. Agriculture Department (Agriculture Officer)

2. Animal Husbandry (Veterinary Surgeon)

- Distribution of cattle feed
- Special calf-rearing programme
- Purchase of medicines for veterinary hospitals
- Development and maintenance activities of veterinary institutions
Fund Utilisation:
- Dairy cow rearing – ₹11,60,000
- Cattle feed distribution – ₹10,80,000
- Total Allocation: ₹23,97,500
- Total Expenditure: Approximately ₹23,05,740
3. Health Sector (Medical Officer – PHC/Homoeopathy/Ayurveda)
Major projects:
- Lifestyle disease prevention programmes
- COVID-19 prevention and control activities
- Disease prevention and healthcare services
- Purchase of medicines for Homoeopathic and Ayurvedic hospitals
- Health protection programmes for senior citizens
Fund Details:
- COVID-19 prevention activities – ₹5,00,000
- Lifestyle disease prevention – ₹4,00,000
Several lakhs of rupees were spent on various healthcare and disease-prevention programmes during the year.
4. Fisheries Department (Sub-Inspector of Fisheries)
Major projects:
- Schemes for promoting fish farming and fisheries-related activities.
Expenditure:
- Total Allocation: Approximately ₹8,28,000
- Total Expenditure: ₹94,531
5. SC/ST Development and Housing (Village Extension Officer)
Major projects:
- Housing improvement and making houses habitable for General, SC and ST beneficiaries
- Construction of study rooms
- Distribution of laptops and scholarships to SC students
- Conversion of open drinking-water wells into sanitary wells
- LIFE Mission housing projects
Major Allocation:
- ₹40,00,000 was allocated for the General category housing-improvement scheme.
- A substantial amount was also allocated for LIFE Mission housing for SC beneficiaries.
6. Other Local Services and Waste Management (Assistant Engineer)
Major projects:
- Haritha Karma Sena activities
- Smart Garbage Monitoring System
- Drinking water projects at Kampanthanam, Cherukunnu and areas near the Palli Health Centre
- Road concreting and tarring in various wards
- Repair and maintenance of Anganwadi buildings
- Construction of compound walls for Anganwadis
- Maintenance of solar and other street-light systems
Waste Management:
The projects also included:
- Distribution of source-level waste-management equipment
- Implementation of the “Clean Kottayam, Green Kottayam” initiative
- Other waste-management and sanitation activities
Summary
The report provides a detailed account of how Development and Maintenance Funds were allocated and utilised by Pampady Grama Panchayat during 2021–2022.
